Training
No Brother Left Behind presents a diverse range of training programs targeting youth violence prevention, violence reduction, and intervention work. These programs are meticulously tailored to meet the unique needs of each requesting organization. Our training typically caters to outreach workers, violence interrupters, and leadership staff within community-based nonprofit organizations (CBOs).
No Brother Left Behind extends its expertise to conducting workshops on messaging and crisis communication specifically designed for community-based organizations. Addressing topics such as alternatives to violence prevention, the employment of formerly incarcerated staff, and advocating for a public health approach to public safety can be inherently sensitive and challenging to convey. We collaborate with you to refine language, manage perceptions, and cultivate media relations, ensuring that your program is not only comprehensible but also equipped to handle any potential PR challenges.
Furthermore, No Brother Left Behind actively engages in facilitating community health focus groups and discovery sessions. These sessions are conducted in collaboration with public health centers, hospitals, health clinics, and other human services to guarantee that diverse populations are authentically represented and heard in the formulation of institutional policies.
Each completed training session includes a certificate of completion issued to all individuals who attend and successfully finish the course. Training sessions marked with an asterisk (*) are condensed into one-page TIP sheets. Topics covered in our training programs include:
We also offer specialized training programs tailored specifically for CBO leadership staff or individuals interested in developing a program site. These include:
